Significant Environmental Bills Filed As Legislative Bill Filing Deadline Nears

As the March 9th deadline for bill filing nears, a number of environmental bills of interest have been filed in recent weeks.  Air quality and water resources issues remain at the forefront of legislative attention.  Reflecting the focus on air issues, a bipartisan group of members have formed a Clean Air Caucus.  In addition, Governor Perry has announced his environmental spending priorities in support of the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan and the state’s efforts to secure the federal Department of Energy Future Gen Project.

Significant bills of interest filed include those described in the attached chart.
