TCEQ Renewed Construction Storm Water General Permit Takes EffectBeveridge & Diamond, P.C. - Texas Environmental Update, March 2008 On March 5, 2008, TCEQ’s renewed construction storm water general permit, TPDES Permit No. TXR150000, took effect. New and renewed coverage under this general permit became available on that date. However, existing permit holders requiring continued coverage have until June 3, 2008 to renew. The general permit specifies which construction activities must obtain permit coverage, which are eligible for waivers, and which may be required to obtain a general permit. Changes triggered by the issuance of the renewed general permit include those relating to: (i) application fees; (ii) dates of provisional coverage; (iii) the definition of “operator” and (iv) storm water pollution prevention plan requirements.
