Additional information on TCEQ rule developments is available on the TCEQ website.1 Because the dates anticipated for Commission consideration, public comment, and Texas Register filing may change from time to time, interested persons are encouraged to confirm these dates. Waste Rules Adoptions HB 2714: Computer Equipment Recycling Program
This rulemaking would implement HB 2714, 80th Legislature, relating to the establishment of a computer recycling program in Texas. The draft rules to be considered for Commission adoption include a number of changes from the proposal such as changes to certain definitions, manufacturer certification requirements and responsibility for mailing costs incurred in connection with a mail-back program. Proposals HB 2541: MSW Recycling Facilities in Certain Counties
These rules would implement HB 2541, 80th Legislature, by establishing requirements regarding the size, content and fire safety features for certain municipal solid waste recycling facilities in Bexar County. Water Rules Adoptions HB 3098: Edwards Aquifer Fees
This rulemaking would implement HB 3098, 80th Legislature, by establishing a new fee structure for plans submitted to TCEQ for regulated activities in the Edwards Aquifer recharge, transition or contributing zones. Proposals HB 2482: On-Site Sewage Facilities
This rulemaking would implement HB 2482, 80th Legislature, by amending requirements regarding maintenance provider registration and homeowner training requirements. Among other things, the rules would establish licensing and registration requirements for persons who maintain aerobic treatment units for compensation. SB 1037: Evaporation Pits
These rules would implement the provisions of SB 1037 adopted during the 80th Legislative Session requiring TCEQ to regulate brine evaporation pits that are operated for the commercial production of brine water, minerals, salts or other substances that naturally occur in groundwater.
