Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. Honored with Vincent E. Reed Award for Commitment to Public EducationBeveridge & Diamond, P.C., Fall 2007 Beveridge & Diamond, P.C., was honored by the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs ("the Committee") with the Vincent E. Reed Award for their commitment to public education in the District of Columbia. The award is given in the name of distinguished educator and former D.C. Schools Superintendent Vincent E. Reed, who encouraged the Committee to establish its public education support programs. Beveridge & Diamond has taught a 7-8 week environmental course to sixth graders at Birney Elementary School in Washington, D.C. for several years. The course was initially created by the Firm as part of its commitment to the Committee's partnership with underserved inner-city schools. The Committee also recognized 24 law firms with Outstanding Achievement Awards for their exceptional work on Committee pro bono assignments over the past year.
