Bethany French is an Associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C.  Her practice is focused in environmental compliance counseling. Since joining Beveridge & Diamond, Ms. French has counseled clients on a range of environmental laws, including FIFRA, the Clean Air Act, and ECPRA. She has also counseled clients on state regulatory compliance, including state emergency planning laws and air permitting requirements.   

Ms. French’s experience also includes: advising clients on the regulatory compliance issues associated with the manufacture and distribution of chemical products under both U.S. and foreign laws; counseling on voluntary disclosures under EPA’s Audit Policy; and providing representation on the environmental aspects of transactions.     

Before joining Beveridge & Diamond, Ms. French clerked with the U.S. Department of Justice, in both the Environmental Enforcement and the Natural Resources Sections, and the D.C Legal Aid Society.  Prior to law school, Ms. French obtained a Master of Science degree in Environmental Health.  While in graduate school, she worked as a research assistant in an Environmental Health Laboratory.  Prior to attending graduate school, she interned with EPA’s Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards.

Ms. French is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Maryland Bar.
