Ms. Sendek-Smith is Of Counsel in the Washington, D.C., office of
Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. where she focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, white collar criminal defense, corporate compliance issues and internal investigations. 

During her term at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, she represented the interests of the United States in suits where monetary judgments were sought for damages resulting from negligent or wrongful acts.  Ms. Sendek-Smith defended Federal agencies in various employment-related lawsuits including Title VII, the Rehabilitation Act, and the Equal Pay Act.  She also defended against constitutional challenges to Federal statutes and suits to overturn Government policies and programs.  Ms. Sendek-Smith has extensive trial experience before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, as well as appellate experience before the Fourth and Second Circuit U.S. Courts of Appeal.

Prior to her term at the U.S. Attorney's office, she was a litigation associate with two prominent Washington, D.C. area law firms.
